Raised in Maryland, Harry Dunn embodies the values of duty, honor, and community instilled by his family. As a Capitol Police Officer for over 15 years, he courageously defended the Capitol during the violent January 6th insurrection. Officer Dunn’s service includes roles in First Responder Units, training new officers, and crisis intervention. Recognized for his bravery on January 6th, President Biden awarded him the Presidential Citizens Medal, praising his dedication to the country. Beyond his service, Harry is a JMU graduate, former football player, and devoted father to his daughter, Daphne.
