Endorsement from pair of prominent Black House Democrats solidifies Dunn’s momentum weeks ahead of primary
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Today, former U.S. Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn announced the endorsements from Rep. Jim Clyburn and Rep. Marc Veasey highlighting his alignment on critical issues important to Black communities in Maryland. The endorsement from Clyburn, a Civil Rights stalwart, one of the highest-ranking African American members of Congress and a prominent figure within the Democratic Party, represents a historic moment in the journey toward representation and equality in Congress and emphasizes Dunn’s moral standing and commitment to democracy. Veasey, on the other hand, co-chairs the Congressional Voting Rights Caucus and is well-known for his efforts to protect and expand voting rights.

Dunn has garnered wide support from across Maryland and across the country, with more than 5,000 individual donors just in Maryland averaging under $26.50 per donation. He has received the endorsement of VoteVets PAC, End Citizens United and taken the ‘No Corporate PAC Money’ pledge. Demonstrating his growing support, Dunn has also been endorsed by Montgomery County Councilmember Will Jawando as well as numerous members of Congress including Congressman Dan Goldman (NY-10), Congressman Colin Allred (TX-32), Congressman Eric Swalwell (CA-14), Congressman Adam Schiff (CA-30), Congressman Emanuel Cleaver (MO-05), Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03), Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (TX-30), and Congressman Bennie Thompson (MS-02).
