Rural communities are frequently forgotten in Washington, like those in Maryland’s Third District in Carroll County, western Howard County and some parts of Anne Arundel County. Harry will work to make sure that all receive equal access and opportunities. In Congress, Harry will:
- Support the reauthorization of the Farm Bill at current levels and defend these critical programs against Republican cuts.
- Continue to expand rural broadband access, as President Biden has done with the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
- Support the Affordable Connectivity Program Extension Act to guarantee low-income households access to discounted internet service.
- Expand the Affordable Care Act to provide access to healthcare services for every American
